Gramophone

A manually operated musical device for reproducing sound. It consists of a wooden cube-shaped box decorated with metal plates (in the centre of the box there is a trace of decoration, but the decoration itself is missing), with a flat board on top, on a wide four-sided base with a disc wrapped in crimson velvet and a spring mechanism for rotating the disc, a sound box (‘membrane’) with a needle holder into which a needle is inserted, a tone arm (movable connecting tube) and a horn. There is no handle for rotation. There is a music record on the disc.
