The Museum of Ethnographic Collection "Drevo" was founded by Eduard Krutko, who gave new life to the family house of Thekla and Semyon Kozub. His goal was not simply to preserve ancient things, but to create a center of cultural life that would unite the community. Today, "Drevo" is not just a museum, but a dynamic cultural center located in the village of Kozubivka in the Khorol region. Its collection includes over two thousand unique exhibits, including: household items, furniture, dishes, tools, icons, paintings;historical materials, collections of photographs, documents and rare publications; textiles, towels, tablecloths, clothing, shoes, embroidered shirts and accessories. The collection of Khorol corsets alone is impressive. A corset/corset is an element of women's chest clothing, which looks like a straight-cut vest with lush pleats on the back. They were used in the Poltava region from approximately the end of the 18th century. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum actively conducts research into traditional culture, organizes festivals, children's camps and expeditions, photo exhibitions and traveling exhibitions. The highlight of the museum is ethnophoto sessions, which give unforgettable emotions and preserve memories for a lifetime. "Drevo" successfully brings together the past with the present. The museum has launched a line of merchandise based on the plots of naive towels of the 20th century. These unique things can be called "quotation books of our great-grandmothers" and right now they fill the everyday life of modern generations with Ukrainian meanings, aesthetics and culture of the Poltava region.
