Cerset 38. Women's ‘Kerset’ Inv. #107 Poltava Region, Khorol District Village of Bairak Early 20th century Made of black satin, lined with calico, with internal ties. The neckline and armholes are trimmed with calico piping The kerst is decorated with a decorative velvet overlay on the chest, which, together with the neckline, is framed with pink and green silk braid. The square on the chest of the kerst is embroidered with a floral ornament in the form of a tree with flowers. The embroidery is done in satin stitch with coloured silk threads. At the back, the fabric has six longitudinal folds, decorated with buttons. The jacket belonged to Olena Yakovlevna Hazenko, born in 1905. It was donated to the collection by her daughter, Maria Petrivna Hazenko.
