Cerset 004. Women's ‘Kerset’ Inv. #437 Poltava Region, Khorol District Trubaytsi Village Early 20th century Made of dark velvet, lined with calico, with internal ties. The armholes and neckline are trimmed with satin piping. Decorated with pink and green silk braid on the right side of the chest and around the neckline. The square on the chest of the kerset is embroidered with a floral ornament in the form of a tree with flowers. Embroidered with coloured silk threads. The back of the fabric has eight longitudinal folds, called ‘fandiv’ or ‘vusiv,’ which are decorated with buttons. The kerset belonged to Vovk Sekleta Sviridivna from the village of Trubaytsi. It was donated to the collection by her granddaughter, Lyudmila Manzhos.
